Preacher Jacob Neal Burnside, born and raised in California, is a man of faith, passion, and purpose. He was born again, filled with the Holy Ghost, and baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in 2012. From that moment, he felt the undeniable call of God on his life, leading him to serve at Bayside Church in Granite Bay, CA.

Within months of his conversion, Jacob joined Bayside Church’s APEX internship, serving in special needs ministry, encouragement teams, and children’s ministry. He then became part of the inaugural Beta program of Thrive Leadership School (now Thrive College), where he ministered to junior high students while pursuing theology studies at Azusa Pacific University.

Graduating with the humorous yet fitting award, “Most Likely to Be Late to a Meeting Due to Evangelizing at the Gas Station,” Jacob’s passion for sharing the Gospel was evident. This calling led him to his first international mission trip to Jos, Nigeria, alongside his mentor, Dr. Todd Thakar. There, he served at the Faith Alive Clinic, ministered to AIDS patients, and spoke at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, boldly sharing God’s truth.

It was during this transformative mission that Jacob realized his divine call to preach – both locally and globally. Returning to the U.S., he continued his ministry at Mosaic Christian Church and Fremont Presbyterian Church while studying Biblical & Theological Studies with a minor in Evangelism at Liberty University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

In 2016, Jacob moved to Phoenix, Arizona, serving as a college ministry pastor at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV). Later, he returned to California to care for his beloved grandfather, “The Ol’ Trout,” who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. During this time, he also pursued his love for film, training under renowned acting coach Cody Dorkin.

By 2020, Jacob fully embraced his calling and launched a “film ministry,” becoming known as Preacher Burnside through online preaching and teaching videos that continue to inspire audiences worldwide. Today, he serves on the worship and prayer team at Christian Valley Church while leading Burnside International Ministries: Proclaiming Christ, Transforming Nations—reaching hundreds of thousands globally through sermons, writings, and livestreams.

Alongside his ministry, Jacob is the owner of Burnside Stain Pros, specializing in high-end concrete staining and painting. With a commitment to craftsmanship and excellence, he transforms homes and businesses while glorifying God through his work. Whether enhancing properties or ministering to souls, Jacob strives to reflect Christ in all he does.

Jacob Burnside is living his dream: serving God, feeding His sheep, running a business, and leading an international ministry. None of this would be possible without the Lord’s guidance and the prayers and support of those who walk alongside him.

He humbly attributes every success to the Lord, often saying:

“Without the LORD and the prayers and support of His people, none of this would be possible.” As the Scriptures declare, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27)

His life verse, Psalm 23:1, serves as a constant reminder:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” When the LORD is your Shepherd, you lack nothing.
